Substance abuse is not something that only happens to people of a certain income level or people who live in certain neighborhoods. In fact, anyone can become addicted to drugs or alcohol. People who only try some drugs one time can become addicted. This happens on a regular basis with people who try heroin or crystal meth for the first time. Certainly, the addict may go to the treatment center; however, he will not successfully go through the program unless he is fully ready to do so.
